The Numeracy Readiness Screener is designed to be administered to preschool or beginning of the year kindergarteners. This 5 minute assessment focuses on the foundational numeracy skills that all students should have in place by the time they begin kindergarten.
The data provided by the assessment will help teachers decided which students to target with additional support. This assessment can provide critical information so an intervention can begin within the first few weeks of school. The assessment is free and can be downloaded below. There is overlap between the screener and the Primary Numeracy Math Intervention Program (K-3).
The Numeracy Readiness Activities Guide will provide teachers with specific lessons and activities that they can do with their students to help build their basic numeracy foundation. The activities can be done by a teacher, classroom aide, paraprofessional, or by a parent volunteer.
All of the materials are common materials that most schools already have as part of their resources. For more resources please view the Primary Numeracy Webinar K-3. .
